*** Faith?

Many different points of views are inside our mind about faith. Sometimes, we have awful thoughts or questions about faith. What is faith? Why do we need to have faith? How can we have the true faith? That’s what we’re going to find out. Maybe some of us feel awkward or embarrassed to ask or discuss these problems to our parents or elders. Or it might be some of them who will think that you’re a bad kid that is asking that kind of questions and will put you in the very strict religious school somewhere far far away. Because many of our folks still think that it is a shame, very bad sin or even bad luck to have those types of doubtful questions. It is natural for us as a human being to have those kind of questions. Islam does not forbid us to have those suspicious questions. So that’s why in the Holy Quran it says “This is the book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of God”(2:2), because in the Holy Quran it is already filled with all the answers by God Almighty that we need for any type of our questions, so there is no doubt in the Holy Quran. So this is just the short summary to respond to those questions.
Religion is formed by faith, so faith is the key of success in the religion. Faith is just an ordinary word, simple to say and easy to hear. But it is difficult to describe, to understand and to identify. Faith’s manner is personal, very private, and is the basis from our deep heart. Faith is from you, not from anybody else. Your faith is what you have convicted and surrender. In Islam, faith is really needed. A good Muslim has the good faith of understanding the God’s commands and the forbidden ones. So faith is very important to construct your belief in religion because religion’s meaning itself is the connection between the creature and the creator or the Khaliq (God Almighty). Then from there the religion keeps and builds the person ethical to be the person in the right path and the best conduct. Islam philosophers illustrate faith as beginning of the mankind development of the righteousness, beautifulness and the kindness. So basically faith is the inside of your heart.
People need to have faith because people need something that is strong and powerful to fill in their heart to guide them in this short scenario of life. We can see many people who have no faith that live without guidance and no exact direction. No wonder many of them always mock God and all of God’s creatures because of their own falseness. And later on some of them turn in to anti-God or anti-believers that called themselves “atheist”. Because they always thought that God never helped them or care about them, but always given them difficult problems. Well, they’re wrong. They are always being ungrateful to the creator after God granted them all the five-senses of their body, their health, food, places to live and clothes. As we all know that difficult times never last long or forever. So if we are facing a problem, don’t be like them. With believing, praying and asking to the God Almighty and also an effort from us, in God’s will, it will be easy and painless as long as we are patient to ourselves. And also we need to be grateful enough to what God have given us all these objects that we have, we use, we wear and we waste.

So let’s inspect our selves together that faith is really
important for people in the right path. The human being who’s
determined has a strong feeling of wanting know, he/she must be
searching, studying and exploring for the most accurate, most
beautiful, most truthful and the best answers for his/her problems.
Just by believing truthfully in all of these variety of forms, from
inside the deep blue sea to the highest point of the earth, from the
tiny microscopic organisms to the giant prehistoric animals, earth,
moon, sun, others planet, galaxies, and everything in this life are
God Almighty’s creations. We could say that we have the true
faith. And from that moment, this faith will lead you and construct
you to be a better shape of understanding the knowledge of
preciseness of meaning itself.
A Short – true Islamic Story ;
LOVE in LEARNING
A long time ago, there was a very great scholar living in Madina, the city of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It was Imam Malik (imam means authority on religion). He educated and gave lectures on the Holy Qur’an and the Hadith (words or deeds of the Prophet Muhammad {peace be upon him}). He was a very popular teacher in Islam at that time. Many of his students were come from around the world to be taught and skilled from the master.
One day while Imam Malik was giving a lecture in the classroom suddenly arose a laud noise. It was from the outside the mosque. “ It’s elephant, elephant, elephant!!!” people shouted from the outside the mosque. Most of the people never saw an elephant. They only heard its name because elephant didn’t populate in Arabia. The students who were attending on the lecture of Imam Malik couldn’t refuse the excitement to see it, so the Imam excused them. All the students were out to see the elephant but the Imam looked at
Yahya. Yahya was from Spain. He was alone in the classroom.
Imam Malik asked him, “Yahya, my son, elephant is not found in Spain. Why don’t you go to see a thing you have never seen before?” “My respected teacher”, Yahya replied, “ I have left my heart and home and come to you to seek knowledge of the religion. I have not come here from such a far off place to see an elephant.” Imam Malik was impressed by the Spanish youth. He wished and blessed him in his cherished education. Later, Yahya grew up into a great scholar of his time in Spain.
